      The Kiwanis Club of Merritt Island, Florida maintains an active involvement in community activities by awarding scholarships to local students and raising awareness in community service by sponsoring the Key Clubs at Merritt Island High School and Edgewood Jr/Sr High School, and the K-Kids Club at MILA Elementary.  It also sponsors the Merritt Island Aktion Club through Bridges of Brevard County.  Additional recent service projects include Brevard Sharing Center food drive, Project Graduation fund raiser, Dictionary donations, Devereux Christmas party, and assist with the Special Olympics.

     The club meets every Tuesday at noon to discuss upcoming service projects and to periodically host a speaker for an entertaining and informative program.  The meetings are held in the meeting room of the Doyle Carlton Pavillion in Kiwanis Island Park. (map)
